The Carnyvillains are the circus house band, and a complete show in their own right, playing stomping swing and ska all rolled out live and kicking with the riotous energy of punk rock.
Starting out as the house band with The Invisible Circus they have stormed stages across Europe from festivals such as Glastonbury and Fusion to their namesake Carny Ville. They can tear it up with a raucous live gig, create music for theatre and circus or perform as live musical installations under just about any disguise you care to think of.

Here is a review…
The Carny Villains (EP, Unsigned)
• The seven-piece band from the heart of Bristol’s Carnyville
mayhem factory has long since busted out of the Fire Station to roam the country. Plying two-step mash-ups of gypsy swing, ska
and rockabilly, they tell implausible tales from a weird burlesque
world on the edge of gothic madness. The four tracks on this CD catch the Villains’ sound very neatly, with epic tales like ‘The Last Train to Carnyville’ and ‘The Trial of Henry Jones’ trading on the band’s self-created mythology. Folk songs from an imaginary time
and place delivered with straight-faced conviction and goodtime four-to-the-bar grooving to make a folk-rock cabaret storybook for our times. (Tony Benjamin)
